On Monday, Schuylkill County Attorney Christopher Hobbs announced his candidacy for the Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas.

“After twenty plus years handling civil, criminal, and administrative cases in various tribunals, I believe I have the experience, temperament and expertise to serve the citizens of Schuylkill County well. I always have practiced law with respect and integrity and promise to approach each case fairly and impartially, free from political influence and in accordance with the federal and state constitutions. Schuylkill County has had and continues to have an outstanding bench to which I hope to contribute. With Judge Dolbin’s decision not to seek retention, I feel this is a tremendous opportunity to continue to serve the public.”

Hobbs currently serves as partner in the Pottsville firm of Lieberman, Tamulonis & Hobbs.

After beginning his career in the law firm of John E. Jones & Associates, he owned and operated the law offices of Christopher W. Hobbs in Pottsville. Over the past twenty years Hobbs has represented individuals, municipalities and businesses throughout Schuylkill County. Hobbs, and his wife of twenty years, Dr. Ali Rhoades Hobbs proudly reside in Schuylkill county and volunteer in a variety of community organizations.

“I am pleased to announce my intention to seek the nomination in the election of 2021. This is an important position, and I am looking forward to serving the people of northern Schuylkill County,” Malinchok said. “I will treat people who come before the court fairly, just as I’ve done in my decades as a businessman and dedicated public servant through my work on the Schuylkill County Planning Commission and a variety of civic organizations.”
