Man Flown After Norwegian Township Crash on Tuesday

A crash on Tuesday in Norwegian Township is believed to be caused by a medical issue.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 3:30pm on Peach Mountain Road in Norwegian Township.

Police say Michael Christy, 52, of Schuylkill Haven was traveling north on Peach Mountain Road when he traveled off the east berm and down an embankment striking several trees.

Christy's Chevrolet Sonic came to a rest against some trees.

Christy was able to get out of the vehicle and collapsed before the vehicle burst into flames.

Christy was transported to a landing zone by Shenandoah EMS and transported by LifeFlight to Geisinger.

Assisting State Police at the scene were the Columbia Hose Co. of Saint Clair, New Castle Township Police, and Shenandoah EMS.



One Injured After Driver Fails to Stop at Red Light in Deer Lake

One person was injured Tuesday after a driver failed to stop at a red light on Route 895.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 around 6:15pm at the intersection of Route 61 and Route 895 in the borough of Deer Lake.

Police say Michael Smith, 29, of Orwigsburg was travelling east on Route 895 and had a steady red light at the intersection with Route 61.  Mitchel Rice, 23, of Orwigsburg was traveling north on Route 61 and had a steady green light.

For unknown reasons, Smith drove through the red light and struck Rice.

Rice was not injured but Smith was taken to an area hospital via Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS for unknown injuries.

Assisting police at the scene were the Deer Lake / West Brunswick Township Fire Company along with the Pottsville / Schuylkill Haven EMS.

Anthony Horney, Jr.
, 57, of Auburn, passed away Monday, June 22nd, at his residence in Lake Wynonah.

Born in Lebanon on February 4, 1963, a son of Anthony Horney, Sr. and his wife Roberta of Steelton, and the late Judith (Kapp) Horney.

He and his wife, Lisa White were married for 26 years and shared a passion for family time at the beach, sports and a good laugh.

Anthony was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School, Wilmington University and received his Masters of Social Work Degree from Marywood University. Anthony played college baseball and pitched in the college world series. He received All-American honors that year. Anthony was employed as a clinical social worker.
Anthony was an avid hunter and enjoyed his time upstate with his buddies Mike and Ken. He also enjoyed fishing. Always the jokster, with his quick wit love of the three stooges.

Anthony's greatest joy was the times he spent with his children. Anthony coached biddy and junior high basketball and also coached baseball at every level; little league teener, and High School at Nativity. He was so proud of his children's accomplishments both athletically and academically, and he played a key role in helping them become caring young adults.

Anyone that knew Tony, knew he was a big teddy bear and had a heart of gold. He would help anyone or any animal in need.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a son, Bryar White; daughter, Keegan White; a sister, Judith, wife of Bob Frantz, of Taylor, SC; and a brother, Kerry Horney, fiance of Jennifer Winfield, of Greenville, SC.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven on June 30th at 11am with Josh Ott officiating.

A visitation will be held prior from 10am until the time of the service at the Funeral Home.

The family requests donations to Schuylkill Haven Little League, Schuylkill Haven.

Debra J. Keefer
, 65, of S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East.

Born on May 13, 1955 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of Thelma Knerr Adams and husband Gary of Pine Grove and the late John W. Hesser.

She was a 1973 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.

Debra worked in Customer Service as a cashier at CR's and Hess and later at Ingram Micro in the Apple Returns department in Jonestown.

Preceding her in death was a brother John Hesser, Jr.

Surviving, in addition to her mother and step father, are her husband of 30 years, Charles D. Keefer, Jr.; three daughters, Renee and husband Matthew Huff, Katie Keefer, both of Pine Grove, Alyson and wife Lizz Tooher of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Osric Smith, Dryden, Caius, and Gideon Huff, Eli Keefer and Alek Davis; a sister Jeanette and husband John Frantz of Pine Grove.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. from the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a calling time on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00A.M. at the Funeral Home. We do require continuing to follow social distancing and CDC guidelines at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.

Theresa M. Kanick
, 90, a resident of the Shenandoah High Rise Apartments passed away early Monday morning, June 22, 2020 at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah on June 24, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette “Tessie” (Kiauleviciute) Kanick.

She was a retired garment worker having last worked for the former Villa Fashions, Shenandoah.

Theresa was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah formerly Saint George’s Church. She was also a member of the ILGWU. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing, picking huckleberries and mushrooms and tending to her garden. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family. She was a kind person who was very generous to her family and friends.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two brothers, Anthony and John Kanick; three sisters, Jean Schaff, Mary Domozik and Anna Chowansky; and two nephews, Robert Kanick and Joseph Domozik. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Joan Thomas, Antoinette Tranter and her husband Terry, Linda Schaaf, Diane Sinclair and her husband Randy, Paul Chowansky and his wife Julie, Patricia Chowansky, Karen Natale and her husband Joseph and Harry Chowansky, III and his wife Lisa; great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. All CDC and PA Department of Health COVID-19 guidelines will be observed.

Margaret A. Palavich, 70, of Mahanoy City, passed away on Friday, June 19th at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa.

Born in Mahanoy City on May 19th, 1950, Margaret was the daughter of the late Stanley and Margie “Baldigo” Beninsky.

A graduate of the former Mahanoy City Catholic High School, she was of the Catholic faith. Margaret had a love for animals, especially cats and loved walking her dog, Marley.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Palavich and 1 brother, Joseph Beninsky

Margaret is survived by daughters, Christina Wetzel (caretaker) and her husband Danny, Mahanoy City, and Lorriane Wagner with her husband Perry, Barnesville, and her grandson, Francis who was the apple of her eye.

Private Graveside services will be conducted in Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua on Friday, June 26th.

Flag Stolen from Porch of Home in East Brunswick Township

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a flag that was on a porch in East Brunswick Township.

According to Troopers, on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020,  a resident of Schuylkill Road in East Brunswick Township near New Ringgold, told police that sometime overnight Monday into Tuesday someone stole a 3x5 flag from the side porch of their home.

The flag was an American Flag/Confederate Flag/Gadsden Flag (Don't Tread on Me) combination.

State Police Investigating Disappearance of Teen; Possibly in Western Schuylkill, Dauphin, or Northumberland Counties

The Pennsylvania State Police at Lykens are investigating the disappearance of a juvenile that went missing this week.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Lykens, on Wednesday morning, the family of Mariah Kay Houser, 15, of Lykens reported to police that she had gone missing.

Houser was last seen on Monday, June 22nd, 2020 around 11:00pm at her home.  The family believes she left home in the morning or afternoon of Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020.

Houser is described as 5'11", weighing approximately 110 pounds with should length brown hair and brown eyes.  No clothes description was provided.

Houser is believed to be in Northern Dauphin County or the Western areas of Schuylkill County including Pine Grove, Tower City, or Tremont areas, or possibly in the Milton, Northumberland County area.



Mount Carmel Man Denied Bail After High Speed Pursuit Ended near Shenandoah

A Mount Carmel man has been identified as the person police took into custody after a pursuit that started in Luzerne County and ended in Schuylkill.

According to Public Information Officer Anthony Petroski, of the Pennsylvania Troop N, a pursuit began in Hazle Township near Hazleton around 6:30pm, after a Troopers from the Hazleton Barracks attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation..

A pursuit began and followed Route 924 into Shenandoah and eventually back on to Route 924 where the driver and his vehicle were eventually stopped in Mahanoy Township in the area of Vito Rinaldi Chevrolet.

Numerous local police including Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville assisted with the pursuit.

As identified in court papers obtained Wednesday morning, Brian Boblick, 36, of Mount Carmel was taken into custody without incident.

Court papers also stated that police chase hit speeds in excess of 100mph and Boblick had a dog with him in the car.

After the chase concluded, an investigation led the finding of five grams of suspected MDMA, one gram of suspected heroin/fentanyl and 11 LSD tablets in the trunk of the vehicle.

Boblick was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James M. Dixon on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, recklessly endangering another person, cruelty to animals, driving with a suspended or revoked license, disregarding traffic lanes, not stopping at stop signs, not driving at a safe speed, careless driving, and reckless driving.

MDJ Dixon denied bail for Boblick citing that he was a "flight risk and danger to the community".





Police Investigating Money Stolen from Wallet at Motel near Frackville

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a theft that occurred at a motel near Frackville.

Troopers say a victim reported to police on Sunday, June 21st, 2020 around 1:45pm that $800 was stolen from his wallet while he was staying at a motel on Altamont Boulevard in West Mahanoy Township.

Steven T. Middleton
, 23, Girardville passed away on Monday, June 22nd.

Born in Warminster, PA, he was the son of Steven Middleton and Anna Gindhart, both of Girardville.

He suffered from Huntington’s Disease, a rare, inherited disease that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain.

Steven enjoyed playing sports especially baseball and softball.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two sisters: Anna Marrero and Felicia Cruz; his three brothers: Luis Marrero, Jefrey Decaro and Michael Gindhart; 15 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Rosemarie R. Miller,
80.,of Port Carbon passed away Monday while at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Muhlenberg.

Born January 14, 1940 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Hoppes.

Rosemarie was a member of Bible Tabernacle Church in Schuylkill Haven.

In addition to her parents Rosemarie is preceded in death by her husband John who passed away in 2006. She is also preceded by her siblings; Barbara Fisher, Charles Hoppes, Richard Hoppes and Darwin Hoppes.

Rosemarie is survived by her children; Esther Zelwalk wife of David of Port Carbon, Lori Miller wife of Frank of Port Carbon, and Rebecca Demitro wife of David of Ontario Canada. She is also survived by grandchildren; Barb wife of Tony, David “D.J.” fiancée’ to Jenny, Justice, Jade, Zach, and Jimmy, great grandchild Scarlett and siblings, Shirley Ritzlo and Raymond Hoppes.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 4:00 P.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 3:00 P.M. until time of services. State Police Investigating Vandalism to Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 Property

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating vandalism that occurred on Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 property last week.

Troopers say around 11:30pm, on Friday, June 19th, 2020, someone went on the school's property with ATV's and damaged the grass on the soccer field and the front entrance.

The suspect or suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The investigation is ongoing and if anyone has any information on the incident, they are asked to call the Schuylkill Haven Barracks at (570) 754-4600.

Pickup Truck Taken for Joyride in Hegin Township

The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident of criminal mischief in Hegins Township.

Police say between the hours of 10:30pm on June 6th, 2020 and 6:30am on June 7th, 2020, someone stole a Red Chevrolet Silverado on Church Road in Hegins Township.

Police say whoever took the truck went for a joyride before returning the vehicle to the same location it was taken from.

The truck sustained damage to the rear passenger side tire.

The investigation is ongoing and if anyone has any information on the incident, they are asked to call the Schuylkill Haven Barracks at (570) 754-4600.

House Fire Quickly Knocked by Fast Acting Neighbors and Firefighters in Frackville

Thanks to fast acting neighbors, a house fire was stopped before causing any major damage to a home in Frackville.

Around 2:45am, Thursday, fire crews were called to the 300 Block of West Spring Street in Frackville for a possible structure fire.

Frackville Police were the first on scene and confirmed a working fire on the back porch of 326 West Spring and spreading to the 2nd floor.

The neighbors in 328 and 324 were able to use hoses to keep the fire at bay until fire crews arrived.  

The fire severely damaged the back porch of the home at 326 and melted the siding of 328.

Firefighters remained on scene for approximately an hour checking for extensions and ventilating the home.

According to Frackville Fire Chief Bill Lindenmuth, the cause of the fire was a grill on the back porch and was ruled accidental.  No injuries were reported.

Responding to the scene were firefighters from the Goodwill Fire Company, Altamont Fire Company,  Friendship Fire Company, Shenandoah Ambulance, Frackville Police, and Butler Township Police.

Five Injured, Four Flown After Crash in Walker Township on Wednesday

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, five people were injured in a crash in Walker Township on Wednesday.

Troopers say the crash occurred on Catawissa Road around 5:20pm, on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020.

The crash involved two vehicles that struck head-on in the area of Catawissa Road and Shady Lane.  Police say the driver of a Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling south from Heisler's while a Kia Sorento was traveling north.

The Outlander reportedly failed to negotiate a right hand curve and crossed into the path of the Sorento.

The driver of the Outlander was reported to have been injured and transported via ambulance to an area hospital.

Two adults and two children from the Sorento were transported by LifeFlight and MedEvac to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

Information from police did not include the identities of the victims.

The crash is still under investigation by State Police.

Ashland Woman Wakes Up in Middle of the Night to Person Sitting in Bedroom Petting Her Dog

An Ashland woman woke up to find a person she didn't know sitting her in bedroom and petting her dog early Wednesday.

According to Ashland Police, on Wednesday morning, they were contacted by a woman from the 800 Block of Brock Street in the borough that stated she was woken up about 2:30am Wednesday and found a woman she didn't recognize sitting on the floor of her bedroom petting her dog.  

The victim said after she yelled at the unknown woman, she left the home.

Later Wednesday morning, Ashland Police Chief Ger Daley received surveillance footage from a neighbor of the victim.

In the video, Daley said the woman in the video resembled Sarah Wytovich, 38, of Ashland, who was reported to have been involved in four incidents with State Police earlier that morning as well.

Later that morning, Daley went to interview Wytovich at her residence where she admitted to going inside the woman's home.

Ashland Police charged Wytovich with criminal trespass for the incident.

She was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 straight cash bail.

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville also charged Wytovich with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after she admitted to being  under the influence of methamphetamine during one of the incidents around 6:00am.

Man Transported to Hospital After Crashing through Fence in Mahanoy City

A man was transported to the hospital Thursday morning after crashing through a fence in Mahanoy City.

Around 11:00am Thursday, emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Levine and Spruce Street in Mahanoy City for a motor vehicle accident.

According to Mahanoy City Police at the scene, a male driver of a Jeep Patriot was travelling on Spruce Street when he reportedly suffered a medical distress and crashed into a fence of a home at the intersection.

The victim was out of the vehicle when police, EMS, and fire personnel arrived at the scene.

The victim was transported by Mahanoy City EMS for evaluation.

Mahanoy City Police impounded the vehicle due to the crash being under investigation.

Assisting police at the scene were the West End Fire Company, Mahanoy City EMS, and Steve's Towing.

John W. Morrissey III, 71, of Pitman, passed away Wednesday, June 17th at his home after a brief illness.

John was a retired horse trainer. He also served with the Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Morrissey IV.

Surviving are his wife Connie Watson Morrissey to whom he would have been married 52 years in October; two daughters, Bobbi Nickel and her husband Nathan, Wrightsville and Alison McCloskey and her husband Nathan, Grantville; one brother, Jeffrey Morrissey, Georgia; a sister, Tara Morrissey, Palmyra; four grandchildren, Lance Mason, Ethan and Dylan.

Betty Jane Coombe, 72, of Tamaqua, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020, in Residential Hospice, Wilkes Barre. She was the wife of Thomas F. Coombe. They were married on June 8, 1968 and celebrated 52 years of marriage. 
Prior to retiring, she was the former office manager for the Griffiths Family Funeral Homes, Tamaqua, secretary at Trinity UCC, Tamaqua, and she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. John E. Potochny, D.M.D., Hometown. 
Born in Nesquehoning, she was the daughter of the late Richard B. and Mary E. “Betty” (Berresford) Davis. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Tamaqua. Betty Jane was a graduating member of the Tamaqua High School Class of 1965, and a 1966 graduate of McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City. She loved her family, going to the beach and she enjoyed cruise vacations with her husband. 
She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Beth Davis. 
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Mark T. and his wife Leslie, of Bernville; a daughter, Tami L., wife of Deron R. Smith, of Enola; a brother, Richard G. Davis and his wife Lynn, of Hometown; a sister, Lynn A., wife of David Markiewicz, of Tamaqua; a granddaughter, Casey Elizabeth Smith, nieces and nephews. 
A Celebration of Life will be held at 8pm on Monday, June 29, 2020, at the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Route 309, New Ringgold, with Rev. Marjorie Keiter officiating. Call 6-8 pm. 99 New Pennsylvania State Troopers Graduate from the State Police Academy

On Friday, Colonel Robert Evanchick, commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police, announced that 99 cadets graduated from the State Police Academy in Hershey and have been assigned to troops across the commonwealth. The men and women represent the 159th graduating cadet class.

In accordance with statewide measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the graduation ceremony was closed to the public. Friends and family were afforded the opportunity to view the event via live streams on the Academy Facebook page, YouTube Live, and PAcast.

"The support of loved ones, even from afar, is crucial during the rigorous physical and mental training State Police cadets receive at the Academy, and it will remain vital throughout their careers as troopers," said Colonel Evanchick. "Although proud parents, siblings, spouses, and others could not attend in person, we are grateful for everything they have done to help these men and women reach the important milestone we are marking today."


Four cadets received special awards and recognition:
  • The American Legion Award, presented to the most outstanding cadet in recognition of all-around academic, physical, ethical, and moral qualifications: Nicholas A. Sully
  • The Colonel Ronald L. Sharpe Award, presented to the cadet who most exemplifies the qualities of leadership: Nicholas A. Sully
  • The Colonel John K. Schafer Award, presented to the cadet who achieved the highest combined score on a series of physical skills tests: Nicholas A. Sully
  • The Commissioner Daniel F. Dunn Award, presented to the cadet who earned the highest level of academic achievement in the class: Nicholas P. Gustaitis
  • The Colonel Paul J. Chylak Award, presented to the cadet who demonstrated the highest proficiency in driver safety training: Adam M. Romig
  • The Sergeant Charles B. Gesford Award, presented to the cadet who scored the highest on the department's pistol qualification course: Joseph W. Yarzab

Parade to be Held in Gordon for Purple Heart, Silver Star Recipient and World War II Veteran

Michael Wynne Sr, of Gordon, a veteran will turn 99 on July 29th, and the members of the community are organizing a special parade in his honor.

Wynne is a World War II veteran who served in the 21st Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as Corporal in Bougainville, Guam, and Iwo Jima.

Wynne has received the Silver Star Award, 2 Purple Hearts along with other awards and accommodations.

He was born on July 29th,  originally from Centralia, and moved to Philadelphia, and later moved to Lansdale where he lived for 55 years before moving in with his daughter and son-in-law in Gordon.  He was married to Julia Collins, of Mahanoy Plane, for 60 years and has 7 children and 42 grand and great grandchildren.

A parade in honor of his birthday is currently being organized that will be held on Sunday, July 26th, 2020.  The parade is currently scheduled to begin at 1:00pm from the Gordon Fire Company and travel around the borough.

Rich Harris, organizer of the parade, is asking for local fire companies, veterans organizations, and other organizations to join in the parade.  A Marine Corps League with an old Military Jeep along with other motorcycles and riders are already scheduled to attend.

Knoebels Officially Announces Opening Date

On Friday, Knoebels Amusement Resort officially announced they will open next week.
According to a press release, Knoebels Amusement Resort will welcome its first guests of the season this Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Officials say the park team has prepared as much of the park as possible despite delays in projects and hiring from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re excited to welcome guests back even sooner in July than we anticipated,” said Brian Knoebel, fourth generation owner. “It was important to the Knoebel family and the Knoebels team to be able to preserve as much of summer as possible for our guests.”
The first few weeks of operation will provide guests with fun, food and fantasy, from noon until 8PM. The initial operating days will offer the opportunity to pay-per-ride with individual ride tickets only.
“At this point, we expect to open with 30+ rides and the majority of our food stands, games and gift shops,” said Stacy Ososkie, Knoebels spokesperson. “If possible, we’ll open additional rides as the season goes on, depending on project completion and additional hiring.”
Unlike a typical off-season, team members were also tasked with operational adjustments due to COVID-19 such as, but not limited to: 
  • Placing more than 150 hand sanitizing stations throughout the park 
  • Enhancing already rigorous cleaning and sanitizing routines 
  • Providing additional team member training 
  • Updating policies and procedures for team members and guests 
  • Producing signage with important health and safety reminders 
  • Installing sneeze guards at food stands, gift shops, guest services and handstamp 
  • Managing capacity via parking lot management, if necessary

Schuylkill County Commissioner George Halcovage Under Investigation

Schuylkill County officials said Friday that Schuylkill County Commissioner George Halcovage is currently under investigation.

In a statement released Friday by Schuylkill County First Assistant County Solicitor and Risk Manager Glenn T. Roth Jr. Esq., "We have received serious allegations against Commissioner Halcovage. We have just completed our investigation. Many of the allegations appear credible. We expect to make a public statement next week."

As of Friday afternoon, Halcovage was unavailable for comment.

Donald Henry Nye
, age 81, of Kaska, PA passed away Friday, June 26th, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown. 

Born in Millcreek, PA on December 6, 1938, he was the son of the late George H. and Grace (Ulrich) Nye. 

Don attended Penn State University, Schuylkill Campus. He served in the US Marine Corp as a CPL from December of 1955 till December of 1958. Don was a musician and a music teacher and involved in the family band "Kings and Queens", which was started in 1970, who played thru out the area. He was a Black Belt in Karate, Juditsu, and Brazilian Juditsu. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Lorraine Stout and four brothers: Harold, Leonard, John, and Marlin Nye. 

Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Ann (Hardin) Nye, Kaska; two daughters: Donna Marie Nye; and Sandra Mary Spontak, both of Kaska; two grandchildren: Sabrina Marie Spontak and Jonathon Charles Spontak; a brother Wayne Nye, Lebanon; and nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services and interment will be held private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
