Robert Trakes, 85, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Friday, September 11th, Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation, Frackville.

Robert was born in Jacksons, PA on July 15, 1930, a son of the late Veronica (Salukas) and George Trakes.

He worked as an Engineering Plant Manager at Wagner Electric Weatherly.

He was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Robert was an avid skier and had skied all over the world.

Graduated from Mahanoy Township high school Class of 1948

On July 3rd, 1954 he married Madeline (Putalonis) Trakes and was happily married for 63 years.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Kathleen wife of Michael Miller, of Tamaqua; a son, Robert, of Mahanoy City. Robert is also survived by a sister, Genevie Stremba, of Reading and a brother, Bernie, of California; also by 2 Grandchildren Michael, who is engaged to Sara Paret, and Samantha Miller.

He is preceded in death by brothers George and Francis.

Services are private at the convenience of family.

Interment will be at Skyview Memorial Park Tamaqua, PA.

George W. Dillman, 98 of Ashland, PA passed away Friday, Sept.11,2015 at Shenandoah Manor Nursing & Rehab Center, Shenandoah,PA .

Born in Girardville,PA August 12,1917 the son of the late William and Anna (Taylor) Dillman. He was a member of Zion's Reformed UCC, Ashland; a member of the American Legion Post 434 and V.F.W. Post 156,Past Commander of Ashland. 

He was a United States Army World War I I veteran. He attended Ashland High School and worked at Laubenstien Manufacturing in Ashland for 33 years until retiring in 1979. Preceding him in death: Grandson Andrew. Three sisters-one brother: William, Doris,Rita & Lorraine. Surviving are a daughter Ann Kessler, Ashland. Two sisters: Margaret wife of Frank Knock, Ashland and Betty Dicinto, Kansas. Grandchildren: Jason,Derek, David and Chris survive. Seven great grandchildren, nieces & nephews survive.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept.17,2015 at 10:00 A.M. in Brock Cemetery, Ashland. Rev. David Grant officiating. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland is in charge of arrangements.

Shirley "Babe" Wertman, age 82, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Born in Palo Alto, PA on June 1, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Martha (Keefer) Webber.

Shirley was a graduate of Soldier's Memorial High School in Port Carbon, Class of 1951.

She worked as a clinical secretary in ICU at the Schuylkill Medical Center, South in Pottsville. She was also a Certified E.M.T.

Shirley was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville, where she was a Lay Eucharistic Minister, a Worship Assistant, a member of the Altar Guild and she coordinated the Alter flower delivery.

Shirley was a Girl Scout Leader for several years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 14 siblings.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth H. Wertman, Port Carbon; 2 daughters: Sharon Jespersen and Karen Hanlon, both of Port Carbon; 2 sons: Timothy Wertman, Port Carbon and Thomas Wertman, Dillsburg; 8 grandchildren, a great grandson; 2 sisters: Geraldine Kupetz, New Philadelphia and Arlene Francis, Vineland, NJ; 2 brothers: Edward Webber, Auburn and Harold Webber, Orwigsburg; and 38 nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville at 2PM on Saturday, October 3rd, with Pastor Chris Rothharpt officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday afternoon from 1-2PM at the Church.

Interment will be held private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 300 West Arch Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.

June Marie Stonelake, age 63, of St. Clair, PA passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 7th, 2015 at her home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on January 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Jacob M. and Grace L. (Bernet) Kline.

June was a graduate of Saint Clair High School, Class of 1969.

She worked as a certified nurses aide for Rest Haven in Schuylkill Haven and then for Schuylkill Home Health in Schuylkill Haven until retiring.

She was a member of the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert J. Stonelake Jr. on June 15, 2013, her son Robert M. Stonelake and a brother Jacob M. Kline III.

June is survived by 2 daughters: Catherine M. Stonelake and Tammy L. Stonelake; and 2 cousins: Kathleen Geiger; and Richard Kovitch, all of Saint Clair, PA; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be held private at the convenience of family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 101 Frack Street, Frackville, PA 17931.
