Around 3:15pm, emergency personnel were called to a motor vehicle accident on Route 54, the Hauto Highway, in Rush Township near the Lake Hauto entrance.
The crash was reported to have involved two vehicles.
A county coroner was called to the scene around 3:30pm.
Rush Township and Tamaqua Resuce have been called to the scene.
