Born in New Minersville, PA on June 17, 1926,he was the son of the late ? and Mary (Prokapovich) Toczek.
Tony served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 1st Class during WW II. He worked for Bethlehem Steel from 1950 to 1959. Tony was a member of Iron Workers Local Union 420 in Reading and then for M.A. Hospador Steel Erectors in St. Clair.
Tony was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he was a member of the St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son David in November 1983, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Tony is survived by his wife of 69 years, Florence T. (Moser) Toczek; 4 daughters: Beverly Riotto-Gill, Colleen Pinter, Barbara Strelec, and Cynthia Soto; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon at 2PM on Monday, March 13th,with Msgr. William Glosser officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Monday afternoon from 12:30-2PM at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church.
Interment with Military Honors will be held private in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Pottsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Church Memorial Fund 218 Valley Street Port Carbon, PA 17965.
The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home, 208 Pike St. Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.
