A Pottsville man allegedly assaulted a Police Officer in Berks County this past weekend.
According to the Reading Eagle, Aaron Lewis, 32, of Pottsville, led Wyomissing Police on a foot chase in a store parking lot after Police say he met the description of a report of someone looking in car windows of a parking lot.
The chase concluded in a TJ Maxx where Lewis allegedly assaulted the officer, who then had to a taser on Lewis to subdue him.
Lewis was found with hundreds of dollars in stolen merchandise and charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, trespassing, retail theft, and receiving stolen property.
