On Monday, 11/21/16 around 3:00pm, the Pottsville Bureau of Police responded to Hadesty's Hardware Store, 2244 W. Market St., for a reported Retail Theft that had occurred on Friday 11/18/16.

Upon arrival investigating officer, Patrolman James Englert, was advised that a Dewalt drill valued at $199.99 had been stolen from the store and that employees had posted video footage of a female suspect on social media. Several people had responded to the posting and indicated the suspect was Carissa Delpais, 28, of Schuylkill Haven.

On Thursday, 12/01/16, Patrolman Englert located the stolen drill at Cash and Trading Pawn Shop, 16 N. Centre Street and confirmed that Delpais had sold the drill to the store for $50.00.

Based on the investigation results a criminal complaint was filed at Magisterial District Judge James K. Reilly's office charging Delpais with Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.
